The Delaware Tribe

I am writing about the the Delaware Tribe, they are also known as
the Lenni Lenape or the Godfather Tribe. My group is Mark and I.I am writng about their shelters, customs and traditions, and their enviroment and area.

They were given that name Delaware because they had lived among the Delaware River. The Europian travelers called it Lord de la Warr River. They also were given Godfather because of how they were the most peaceful of all of the tribes. They had barelly had
ever stared war with other Native Tribes. They had met Verrazano
the Spanish conquistador from Europe as he had passed by the Native Tribes homeland.

Their enviroment and area was not too hot or to cold for them. It was just perfect. They had settled in the states of New York. New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania. Some of this Native Tribes people had settled near the Great Lakes that border hte United States and Canada. It was
a grassy plain with good nitrious soil great for the farming for the Delaware Tribe. Once in this
Native Tribe its population went up to 16,000.

The Delaware Tribes' shelter were called wigwam. There ia a
picture to the right of one. They come in different sizes and
shapes. There are four types of wigwams. They are Framed
wigwams,rectangular wigwams,domed wigwams,and the coned
wigwams. They had built something called Pasilaed that is made
of logs that protect the village from anything that may harm them.

This is about the customs and traditions of the Delaware Tribe. Customs say the the Delaware came from west of Mississippi. They believed that are or Ancestors of the Delaware Tribe. They dance for their decendents. They boil pots of smudge to heal the sick. Each different group of this tribe is ordered to have twenty-five to about thirty people.

The Delaware Tribe is an peaceful and always be a peaceful Tribe. This is my essay for the
Delaware Tribe.

Decent job with the page Kevin. Try to avoid first person in your essay and try to work on your introduction/conclusions for next time. Your essay was informative though and the images you added were helpful.
